Job Description:

Must be able to completely understand all products to an in-depth technical level and be able to communicate information to architects, installers, dealers, etc. quickly and efficiently.

A good understanding and knowledge of the installation processes, glass fabrication and product limitations. Will be responsible for getting project information from clients, interpreting their need and applying our product line for a range of solutions on various project types

Develop and assessment of the market and a strategy for building relationships with A&D professionals who have the ability to specify and influence sales of products.

Conduct continuing education programs and box lunches to provide education on product characteristics or new products.

Prospect for sales utilizing Dodge and other resources to gain knowledge of construction plans for the territory.

Maintain marketing material at libraries of A&D firms, keeping current with latest introductions and removing discontinued products promptly.

Design Consulting:  Assist A&D professionals with design and product selections to complete their projects.

Product Specifications that lead to sales:  Influence product specifications consistent with the company's product plan that have a high likelihood of generating sales and ROI for the company.

Service key accounts:  Develop trusted business relationships with influencers and specifiers such as designers, architects, builders, contractors, dealers, etc.

Provide Technical Information. Provide timely and accurate technical information for product specifications.

Follow-Through sales:  Follow up to make sure that product information as provided is sufficient and specifications are held and enter the bid process.

Other responsibilities:

Recognize and develop relationships with new Architect and Design firms and contractors to drive brand awareness.

Support dealer network with training, project questions, presentations support, etc.

Tracking projects in their respective territories and feeding them to the correct installer/dealer.

Report on industry trends and competitors.

Site visits during installations to help with new installers.

Basic take-offs from architectural plans and sketches

Technical service, advice, and consulting with a variety of end users (installers, glaziers, dealers, architects, homeowners, etc.).

On-site training for new installer or problem-solving when issues arise

Project management (when needed for first time installers and troubleshooting.

Review architectural drawings to propose product placement and alternate options.

Recognize opportunities for new products or redesigns of existing products to better fit our market.

Answer phone calls and email in a prompt and professional manner.

Be an active member in professional industry organizations such as IIDA, ASID, AIA, CSI.

Have the ability to work and travel independently.

Possess the ability to multi-task and have diligent follow up skills.

Utilize Salesforce.com as a territory management and job tracking tool.

Submit weekly expense reports.
